Eighty percent of New Zealand’s plants are endemic i.e., not
found anywhere else in the world.  They’ve adapted to New Zealand’s
climate, ecosystems and conditions over millions of years. Our unique landscape
means our trees are also unique.

Our passionate volunteer guide will show you Maungatautari's
native trees in the ancient and protected forest, and present to you some
of their unique traits as you explore the different forest layers together.

You might also see these other native species North Island robins, rata, tomtits, kaka, tui, bellbirds, hihi, tieke, fantails, kereru and weta.

This tour includes a complimentary Sanctuary Explorer Pass

***Please note the Sanctuary Explorer Pass can only be used during daylight hours on the day of it's issue.

Standard booking terms and conditions apply.
